His dark Gift...
Tiago, the youngest brother of Rock Run's alpha, is hiding a dark Gift, one so powerful it could make him a pariah in his own clan. To make things worse, he desperately wants the beautiful sun fae queen—his own brother's mate. The temptation to use his Gift to make his darkest fantasies come true is almost irresistible. The only good thing in his life is his friendship with the dryad Alesia.

Her shifter mate...
Alesia is a wild, solitary fae who lives on an uninhabited island in Rock Run territory. She spends her days tending to her woodland home, but her nights are lonely—until the day she meets the sexy Latino river shifter. Now they’re best friends, but she longs for more.

A clan's fate at stake...
Then Tiago makes a move—and everything changes. But just as the two realize they may be mates, a den of rogue shifters threatens to bring war down on the entire Rock Run clan—and Tiago and Alesia are caught in the middle.

Can Tiago's terrifying Gift save them? Or will he lose his mate as well as his soul?

Tempting the Dryad is a full-length paranormal romance novel, free of cliffhangers, with an HEA. For readers 18+ only.

Shapeshifters created during Dionysus’s infamous bacchanals.
They’re ruthless, untamed—and irresistible to the one person fated to be their mate.

Thank you to Rebecca Rivard for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I usually do not read super steamy romances, but this series is an exception. When I saw the first book, Seducing The Sun Fae, on Netgalley last year, I knew I had to read it. The cover and description quickly peaked my interest. I am embarrassed to admit that I did not think I would be getting a lot from that book except steamy sexiness and hot men, but I was so wrong. Rivard not only manages to write a sexy romance book but she also creates plots and characters that are seamlessly woven together. Tempting The Dryad was no exception.

We begin five years after Claiming Valeria ended. Tiago is this book's main focus and while I missed Cleio and Dion, Tiago and Alesia's story was just as good.

Tiago and Alesia are just friends but the attraction and sexual tension has been around for five years. That is enough to drive any man crazy, but both are willing to wait to get what they want. While they are trying to contain their want for each other, all hell is about to break loose between the clans because of a few treacherous shifters. Both clans must work quickly to find the traitors before everything erupts into an all out war.

That is exactly what I love about Rebecca's books. Yes, sex and lust is a main focal point of her books but she writes these great characters and plots that connect them all. I am so invested in the shifters/fae because of this.

Speaking of sex, Rivard does not tone down the sexiness factor at all. I love how steamy all of the books are, but not in an overly annoying way. I never said, "Ok, that's enough. Can we please move on?" Most of it is done in a seductively slow burn way that will leave you craving more!

Rebecca's writing also makes for a good quick read. By the end I was ready for more, because the next book is about Lord Aldric and Rosana, which is sure to be intense because of the animosity that both clans have towards each other!

Basically, if you want to read something about sexy alpha men, mate bonds, shifters, faes, and suspense filled plots, this series is for you! Don't forget your fan though.
